What are your best memories from your NCC days in England?

Wooing a girl while we were both hanging from a tree.

How did you take up aeromodelling?

I wanted to fly high without having to resort to narcotic substances.

Rajkumar Hirani directed you in 3 Idiots (2009). He also produced Saala Khadoos. How different was it working with him this time?

As a director, he is a lot of fun and as a producer, he is saala khadoos! On a serious note, working with him in Saala... was the best learning experience I have had in recent times.

What was the one thing you found interesting about the film industry before you became a part of it?

That you get to romance a new girl every three-four months. I was fascinated how these people were having so much fun and making money while at it.

What is your comfort food?

My favourite food is definitely paani puri.

Do you cook?

Only stories.

One rumour that you would like to start about yourself?

That I’ve had so many torrid affairs that I’m known as the oldest Casanova of Bollywood. I want to be one of those actors who make headlines for their flings.

A role you wish you could have played?

Salman Khan’s role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), of course.

Most awkward encounter with a fan.

One fan, who wanted to click a selfie with me, removed his wife’s mangalsutra and asked me to pose as if I was making her wear the mangalsutra!

If not an actor, you would be?

A bad actor.

A funny incident that happened in a romantic situation?

I was walking up a hill in Mahabaleshwar, carrying my then-girlfriend on my shoulder. And we spotted her parents walking down the hill. However, my experience as a public-speaking professional helped, and we came out unharmed.
