State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals on Friday said its Director (Finance) C S Verma has won the award for 'Best Performing Chief Financial Officer, 2008' from CNBC-TV 18.

"BHEL's Director (Finance) CS Verma has been conferred the 'Best Performing CFO, 2008' from CNBC-TV 18 in the capital goods and infrastructure sector," a company statement said.

Instituted in 2006 by CNBC-TV 18, the awards are presented annually to recognise individual excellence in the financial field. The jury assesses the candidates through a unique judging process based on financial performance, creativity and innovation.
