Family life means...

The most important and satisfying part of my life. It is a place where I learnt values and now I pass them on to my kids. My wife has been an inspiration, my kids a motivating factor.

When not in office can be found at...

Practicing kickboxing. It helps me build greater concentration and confidence. I am by myself, unlike in a gym where there can be distractions. I want to be a black belt.

Travel...

Love to travel both in India and abroad with my family. We plan a Mediterranean tour next summer. This summer, we are going to New Zealand. I prefer to spend time in the countryside when abroad. It is calm and gives a feeling of openness. I love to spend time on Indian beaches.

Food:

Like sea food cooked in Italian extra virgin olive oil. When in Italy pizza is not the food I want to eat.

How important is Vastu?

I am not particular that the door should in the north, east, west or south. However, I am particular about the water and air components—openness in our resort and hotels is a priority.

Inspiration

The late Rai Bahadur MS Oberoi has been an idol since my youth. I have read his biography--Dare to Dream: a Life of Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi - many times.

Parenting

Having been brought up by a strict father and loving mother, I am aware of what that means to a child. I try to strike a balance. Strictness brought discipline, which is a great benefit. The loving nature helped me to develop a caring personality.
