The Motorola Inc spin-off said Asia's growing appetite for mobile phones and other consumer electronics would help demand for chips and lift group sales to "somewhere below" $6 billion in its financial year ending December 2004.
Asia contributed 40 per cent of 2003 revenue of $5 billion.
"It's our goal to grow our indigenous revenue in Asia," new chief executive Michel Mayer told Reuters, referring to the sales he expects Freescale's plants in Asia to make to Asian buyers.
"I would be disappointed if it doesn't grow double-digit," he said in an interview at a company facility near the Malaysian capital.
The company, which rivals market leader Intel and Texas Instruments, produces chips used in automotive and networking applications, and chipsets for cellphone handsets.
