The 900 Yen ($7) title involves Final Fantasy writer Kaz Nojima, art director Hideo Minaba, composer Nobuo Uematsu, and sound programmer Minoru Akao.

Uematsu and Minaba also worked together on Xbox 360 games Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, while Nojima collaborated with them for DS adventure Sakura Note.

Borderwalker's monster battling system requires players to swipe and stab at the screen as they seek to unite one land divided into day and night.
