The development comes following Surjeet Singh, CFO, Patni Computer Systems, joining the firm as president for its international business.

"Glodyne services is the backend of about 2,500 schools and universities' websites at the moment. We will grow this business very rapidly and target to have about 50% of the market share in three years," Singh told Hindustan Times.

The company aims to take its expertise in handling educational websites to the US and win clients there. At present, Glodyne clocks about $200 million by providing services to the infrastructure services sector in the US.

With the US government's stress on education reforms at present, Singh said that education is a promising area.

Sources said that the company targets to get its first US client in the education space in the next three months.
