Chandlee, who did not name the advertisers, said, “There is strong growth coming in from consumers and advertisers. Our channel strategy is to further reach out to the small- and the mid-sized businesses even as we see growing traction from large advertisers.”

Online media agency Komli Media also claims advertisers are increasing their ad-spends on Facebook by as much as 40 per cent. “The biggest advantage is that advertisers are in control as the applications here are more engaging than anywhere else,” said Prashant Mehta, COO, Komli Media.

“There is a real value for advertisers as local content is developed depending upon the market requirements.”

Facebook has opened its first centre in Hyderabad which will support its growing number of users, advertisers and developers in India and abroad.
