Punjab and Sind Bank issue smart cards

Punjab & Sind Bank took a major leap in its Financial Inclusion drive through issuance of 193 Smart Cards in two unbanked villages having population more than 2000 namely Ghanghas and Katahri in Ludhiana District of Punjab.

The smart cards were issued in a function at village Ghanghas by Executive Director of the Bank P.K.Anand and Yogesh Aggarwal IAS Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Ludhiana wherein more than 400 villagers were present.This shall lead to their economic upliftment and reduce their dependence on local money lenders.
