Revenue push: Trent profit zooms 130%

Trent, the retailing arm of Tata Group that was run by Noel Tata till a couple of months back, reported a 130 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit at R12 crore for the quarter ended September 2010 against R5.2 crore on healthy revenue growth.

Trent, the retailing arm of Tata Group that was run by Noel Tata till a couple of months back, reported a 130 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit at R12 crore for the quarter ended September 2010 against R5.2 crore on healthy revenue growth.

Revenues grew 26.5 per cent to R173 crore in the second quarter, compared to R136 crore in the year-ago period.


Other income for the quarter also rose from R5 crore to R15 crore.
