At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 5,121.3 points against the previous close at 5,088.7 points, a gain of 0.64 per cent or 32.6 points.
Broader markets also saw gains with the BSE midcap index closing 0.69 per cent higher and the BSE small cap index 1.04 per cent up.]
