A Yahoo Inc. spokeswoman declined to comment on Friday on newspaper reports that her company is in talks with Microsoft Corporation about a possible merger or some kind of link-up between the two companies.

"We do not discuss rumors or speculation," Yahoo spokeswoman Joanna Stevens told the agency.
