Honda has rolled out the QC1 and Activa e, Hero MotoCorp is steadily building its Vida portfolio, and Suzuki has finally launched the e Access. With more choices than ever, buyers are spoilt for options. Here is how the upcoming Suzuki e Access stacks up against the already popular Ather Rizta.

Suzuki e Access vs Ather Rizta: Battery and performance
The Suzuki e Access comes equipped with a 3.07 kWh battery paired with an electric motor producing 5.49 bhp and 15 Nm of torque. Suzuki claims a top speed of 71 kmph and a maximum range of up to 95 km on a full charge. A complete charge is said to take just over six hours.
The Ather Rizta, meanwhile, offers more variety on this front. Buyers can choose between 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery packs. Depending on the variant, the claimed range starts at 123 km and goes up to 160 km. The Rizta also feels quicker on paper, with a top speed of 80 kmph, making it better suited for riders who want a bit more performance in daily use.
Suzuki e Access vs Ather Rizta: Verdict
The specifications suggest it is aimed at city commuters looking for a familiar brand name and straightforward electric mobility. That said, the Ather Rizta currently holds the upper hand with stronger range figures, better top speed, and multiple variants that cater to different needs. With a high price of the e Access, it seems like the Rizta is the better choice out of the two.
