Hyundai Motor India has expanded the variant lineup of the all-new Hyundai Venue with the introduction of a new HX5+ trim. Priced at 9.99 lakh ex-showroom, this addition sits in the middle of the compact SUV’s range and is aimed at buyers who want more everyday comfort and convenience without stepping into the higher variants.

The HX5+ variant is powered by the familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. While the mechanical package remains unchanged, the focus here is clearly on features that make daily driving more comfortable and practical. Hyundai has added elements such as roof rails and quad beam LED headlamps, which enhance the Venue’s road presence, along with useful additions like a rear wiper and washer for better visibility during monsoons.

Inside the cabin, the HX5+ gets features that are likely to be appreciated in regular use rather than just on paper. A wireless smartphone charger means that the occupants just need to place the phone on the designated place and it will start charging, while the rear window sunshade adds comfort for passengers seated at the back. The driver benefits from a centre armrest with storage and a power window with auto up-down and safety function, making the overall driving experience feel a bit more relaxed in traffic-heavy conditions.

Alongside the launch of the HX5+ variant, Hyundai has also made a small but important update to the HX4 trim, which now gets a driver seat height adjustment feature. This change improves driving comfort, especially for those who spend long hours behind the wheel.

According to the company, the all-new Hyundai Venue has already received strong interest from customers, with bookings crossing the 50,000 mark. The addition of the HX5+ variant appears to be a response to this demand.

The Venue continues to go against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Tata Nexon.
