Renault India Sees Strong H2 CY2025 Sales Recovery Ahead of Duster's Launch
Renault India records 18.2 per cent growth in H2 CY2025, with strong Q4 performance and a sharp rise in December sales marking a clear turnaround.

Renault India closed CY2025 on a positive note, with the second half of the year showing a clear improvement in sales performance. After a relatively slow start, the company gained momentum from the third quarter onwards, ending the year with an 18.2 per cent year on year growth in H2. The turnaround became more evident in the final quarter, where sales rose by 27.3 per cent, pointing to stronger acceptance across key markets.

December 2025 stood out as one of Renault India’s best months of the year. The company sold 3,845 units during the month, registering a 33.4 per cent increase compared to December 2024. This result capped off a steady recovery phase that began in Q3 and gathered pace in Q4 as updated products reached dealerships and customer deliveries picked up.

According to the company, the improved performance reflects the changes made over the past year as Renault worked through a transition phase in its product portfolio. Management noted that the consistent rise in quarterly numbers and the strong finish in December indicate that the corrective steps taken earlier are now starting to show measurable results.
Sales recovery in the latter half of the year also coincided with a series of strategic initiatives introduced in 2025. Renault India expanded its retail presence with the rollout of new ‘R’ stores aimed at improving the showroom experience. The company also set up a Renault Design Centre in India to support product development with a stronger local focus. On the ownership front, a three-year standard warranty was introduced to improve customer confidence, while the consolidation of full ownership of the manufacturing facility underlined Renault Group’s long term commitment to the Indian market.
Product updates played a role in the improved traction as well. The refreshed Triber, launched in July, and the updated Kiger, introduced in August, helped generate renewed interest in the second half of the year. Alongside tighter execution across sales operations and network management, these updates contributed to the stronger exit momentum seen in the final quarter.
Looking ahead, Renault India is preparing for the next phase of its product strategy. The return of the Duster, scheduled to be unveiled on 26 January 2026, is expected to be an important milestone.
