11,667 cases disposed of at lok adalat

The district legal services authority, Rupnagar, organised national lok adalat in the district courts of Rupnagar and Anandpur Sahib to look into pending matters and pre-litigative matters.
A total of 10 benches have been constituted for holding the lok adalat in Rupnagar and three in Anandpur Sahib for disposing of the cases
As many as 11,667 cases were disposed of and an amount of Rs 41 crore claim was settled during the adalat.
Punjab and Haryana high court justice AK Mittal, inspecting judge of Rupnagar session division, visited the courts and participated in the lok adalat.
