According to information, two persons were killed when a car rammed a tree near Rambha village on the Karnal-Indri road on Thursday evening.

Police said the mishap occurred after a tyre of the speeding car burst. Two persons were killed on the spot while two others sustained serious multiple injuries.

In other incident reported from Guniana village in the district, a private bus fell in a roadside ditch and overturned after the bus driver lost control while saving a motorcyclist on the Karnal-Kaithal road, killing 7-year-old Anshu on Thursday.

Twelve injured passengers were admitted at a primary health centre at Nissing.
