A 4.6 magnitude quake hit Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir this afternoon.
However, it was not felt in the Kashmir valley, Disaster Management head in the valley Aamir Ali said.
He said the tremors were felt at 1:17 pm forcing the people to rush out of their homes in panic.
Its epicentre was in Southern Xinjiang China, located at a distance of 327 km from Leh, he said.
