50-yrs-old man killed in road mishap

A 50-year-old man was killed in a road accident after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle.The victim has been identified as Balkar Singh, a resident of Dhanas.

The police said the victim was on his way back home on his motorcycle (CH-04-4427) when he was hit near the dumping ground in Dadumajra.He was spotted in a pool of blood by a passerby who informed the police. The victim was rushed to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) where doctors declared him brought dead. The body has been kept in the hospital mortuary and will be handed over to the police after post-mortem.

A case of rash driving, causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others, and causing death by negligence under sections 279, 337 and 3040-A of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Sector 39 police station.

In another incident, a resident of Manimajra sustained injuries after being hit by a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

On the complaint of Gulzar Ahmed, the police have registered a case of rash driving against Vakil, who was on the motorcycle (CH-03-V-1973). He rammed into the complainant's motorcycle (PB-12-G-2262) as a result of which the pillion rider, Sadam, got injured. The victim was rushed to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16.
