Badal condoles Kurien's death
Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday mourned the demise of Dr Verghese Kurien, known as father of the White Revolution and founder of the co-operative dairy movement in India.

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday mourned the demise of Dr Verghese Kurien, known as father of the White Revolution and founder of the co-operative dairy movement in India.
Kurien passed away at Anand in Gujarat on Sunday after a prolonged illness. Badal recalled the outstanding contribution of Dr Kurien in making Amul Asia's top milk producing brand with a turnover of over Rs 13,000 crore. He described Dr Kurien as a true visionary.
