The BSF seized 10 kg heroin, one pistol and some live cartridges from the place of encounter. A plastic pipe normally used by Pak smugglers to throw in drugs was also seized.
A top BSF official confirmed that some movement was seen from across the border at around 1am on Wednesday night. When challenged, the two Pak intruders fired on the BSF party.
BSF jawans guarding the post returned fire, killing two Pakistani nationals and one Indian national, who had come to receive the consignment. The identity of the deceased was yet to be verified. About 36 rounds were fired by BSF men during this encounter.
A few days ago, three Pakistani smugglers were shot dead on the border by BSF near Amarkot.
