CHB staff members, both former and present, have been protesting against the delay in the implementation of a pension scheme for the employees.

The employees on Saturday also decided against marching to railway minister and local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal's residence after the Congress leader's nephew was arrested in a graft case on Friday.

The employees were planning to submit a memorandum, demanding implementation of the pension scheme, to Bansal.

On Saturday, another group of five CHB employees - Malkiat Singh, Tulsi Ram, Deep Narain, Pawan Sharma and Balwinder Singh - sat on a day-long hunger strike.

The case for implementation of pension scheme has awaiting the approval of the UT administrator and is pending since 2009.
