Cloth merchant booked for molestation

A 26-year-old man held for sexually harassing a girl on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Rasid Khan, a resident of Dadumajra, who is a cloth merchant was known to the victim and allegedly molested her on his visit to her house.

A 26-year-old man held for sexually harassing a girl on Wednesday.


The accused, identified as Rasid Khan, a resident of Dadumajra, who is a cloth merchant was known to the victim and allegedly molested her on his visit to her house. Khan has been booked for assaulting or using criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty (section 354) and criminal intimidation (section 506) of the Indian Penal Code.

In a separate incident, a woman alleged that unidentified two persons ran away after eve-teasing and assaulting her near Main Road, Mauli Jagran. A case voluntarily causing hurt (section 323), criminal intimidation (section 506), wrongful restrain (section 341) assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty (section 354) and assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty (section 354-A) were registered in the Manimajra police station.
