Both institutes have scheduled their entrance examination for admission to MD/MS courses on November 18, putting a lot of candidates in a fix. The academic session in both cases will start in January 2013.
The tough stand taken by both institutes has limited the options of a large number of medical graduates.
Talking to HT, Dr AK Dinda, sub-dean (examination), AIIMS, said they couldn’t change the examination date as AIIMS was a much bigger institute than PGIMER. Around 50,000 candidates appear in our exam.”
