Doctor booked for raping ex-colleague in Rewari
A widowed doctor (47), who runs a clinic at Dahina village under Khol police station in Rewari district, was allegedly raped by another doctor on Tuesday.
A widowed doctor (47), who runs a clinic at Dahina village under Khol police station in Rewari district, was allegedly raped by another doctor on Tuesday.
On the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Dr Ranvir Kumar (47).
The woman belongs to Majra Khurd village in Rewari district and has two daughters. The accused runs a private clinic at Dahina village. The widow told the police that she had worked at Kumar’s clinic for four years. She has been running her own clinic for the past seven years.
She alleged that on Tuesday morning, the accused first called her up and then arrived at her house. She told the police that since she was ill, Kumar gave her two injections, following which she fell unconscious and was raped.
Khol police station incharge Desraj said, “A case has been registered. The victim has been taken for a medical examination.”
The accused is yet to be arrested.
