Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national secretary and Punjab affairs in-charge Narender Kashyap has demanded a judicial probe by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court or the high court into the drug trade in Punjab.

While talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Kashyap said the drug trade in Punjab was so big that a number of politicians and bureaucrats were involved. So, it is necessary that the inquiry must be conducted by a senior judge. He said the BSP would be further strengthened in the state by launching a membership drive from January 15, the birthday of party supremo Mayawati.
