Efforts on to boost organic farming

In a bid to boost organic farming and help farmers to change their lifestyle, the state government has formulated a project in the Hamirpur district under which a sum of Rs 17 crore would be spent under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This was stated by Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, the chief parliamentary secretary of Hamirpur, at a function at Mahre on Monday evening.

He said that under the project, thirty-eight sub-schemes would be started in various parts of the district. He said the project would boost the income of people and raise the production of organic crops.

Lakhanpal asked the people to come forward and take full advantage of the government schemes aimed at their welfare.
