Follow teachings of Guru Arjan Dev: CM

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday called upon people to follow the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth guru of Sikhs, who sacrificed his life to uphold humanism, secularism and universal brotherhood. In a message on the eve of the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev, Badal said the guru laid down his life for the sake of humanity.

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday called upon people to follow the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth guru of Sikhs, who sacrificed his life to uphold humanism, secularism and universal brotherhood.

In a message on the eve of the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev, Badal said the guru laid down his life for the sake of humanity. "We must remember the underlying spirit and message associated with the guru's unprecedented sacrifice," Badal said. Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal exhorted people to follow the path shown by the guru.
