The Haryana government has decided to observe United Nations Day on October 24 in a befitting manner.
Haryana chief secretary PK Chaudhery on Wednesday asked all the divisional and deputy commissioners to organise joint programmes by government and non-government organisations on the day.
He said that the UN flag along with national flag should be hoisted at public places in all district headquarters. They have also been asked to organise social functions, group meetings, seminars, poster competitions, essay-writing competitions, declamation contest and talks on the duties of United Nations Organisations.
