HC directs govt to pay Rs 10 lakh more to Rohtak acid attack victim
HC directs Haryana government to pay Rs 10 lakh more to Prerna, Rohtak acid attack victim, and to inform the court on July 30 about the complete cost of her medical treatment. The state government informed the court that as directed earlier, it had already paid Rs 5 lakh to the victim.

HC directs Haryana government to pay Rs 10 lakh more to Prerna, Rohtak acid attack victim, and to inform the court on July 30 about the complete cost of her medical treatment. The state government informed the court that as directed earlier, it had already paid Rs 5 lakh to the victim.
Prerna was attacked by two boys on June 18, 2011 when she along with her two friends was returning from tuition on two-wheelers in Sector 3 of Rohtak. She sustained severe burn injuries while the other two girls suffered minor injuries.
