Local JDU chief's candidature suggested for upcoming LS polls

Chandigarh unit of Janata Dal United (JDU) on Sunday decided to recommend the name of Surinder Bhardwaj, the party president, to the party high command as its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Chandigarh unit of Janata Dal United (JDU) on Sunday decided to recommend the name of Surinder Bhardwaj, the party president, to the party high command as its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The decision was taken at a meeting of state executive committee on Saturday. The party said that before sending the name to the party high command, it would be put for ratification before the general house of the party on February 7.
