Man stabs father to death

Sixty-year-old Hira Lal was stabbed to death by his 30-year-old son Surender Singh alias Sidh Ram at Chilpan village here on Sunday evening.

Police said Surender attacked at the victim's neck with a sharp edged weapon, which caused him injuries. Later the victim succumbed to his injuries.

When contacted, Kullu superintendent of police Surender Verma confirmed the case and said the accused was held by the police soon after the incident and would be produced before the court to seek police remand.

Verma said the accused had an argument with his sister in-law, and when the victim intervened into the matter, the accused got violent and attacked his father.

Police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code and investigation is on.
