Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run accident
A 26-year-old motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident near Kot Billa village on Friday night. Rakesh and his cousin Subhash, 27, were going from Chandigarh to their native place in Sirmaur (HP). An unidentified vehicle hit them after which, they fell on road, said police.

A 26-year-old motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident near Kot Billa village on Friday night. Rakesh and his cousin Subhash, 27, were going from Chandigarh to their native place in Sirmaur (HP). An unidentified vehicle hit them after which, they fell on road, said police.
They were first shifted to General Hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, where Rakesh was declared brought dead, while Subhash was sent to PGIMER, Chandigarh. Police have registered a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence), section 279 (rash driving) and section 337 (for causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC.
