Addressing mediapersons at the party office in Ellenabad on Monday, Ganeshi Lal said people are saying that the Dera Sacha Sauda should not interfere in political affairs, but they forget that Lord Ram and his brother Laxman had the blessings of Guru Vishwamitra and Guru Vashistha, while Shivaji Maharaj also had the blessings of Guru Ramdas.

When political parties will go away from spiritual powers they will become corrupt and selfish, he said.

He added that till the Congress had moral values, the party did a remarkable job for the country but the day it had lost the spiritual blessings it became the number one corrupt political party of the nation. So the spiritual power is very necessary for the political system, he added.

The BJP leader said the other parties have not understood the meaning of the dera’s support to the saffron party.

Notably, Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda has supported the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Haryana assembly elections.

According to political pundits, the BJP won in Haryana because of the dera and Modi factors.
