Ladwa constituency election officer sent notices to three persons, including INLD Kurukshetra district president, for violation of model code of conduct during Haryana assembly elections.

They were asked to reply within seven days.

Election officer Prabhjot Singh, who is also additional deputy commissioner, sent them notices for organising public meetings without prior approval, said a press release.

A public meeting was organised for INLD leader Digvijay Chautala at Maharaja Palace in Ladwa assembly constituency on September 14 without prior approval.

Notice was served to INLD district president Kuldeep Multani and Maharaja Palace manager, who had let out the place without prior permission.

Notice was also sent to Jitender Singh Khurdban, who had violated the code by conducting a public meeting in Vishvakarma temple and another temple on September 17, without prior permission.
The press release said it was mandatory for parties and candidates to get prior approval from district election officer for such meetings so that expenses can be added in to election expenses of the party or candidate.
