NSUI chief patron faints, gets hospitalised

One of the protesters and chief patron of National Students Union of India (NSUI), Simran Kaur was hospitalised late on Friday night as her condition deteriorated. Simran along with three other members of NSUI, Piya Minocha and Malvika, had been sitting on hunger strike outside Kasturba Gandhi hostel since Wednesday evening to press for various demands made by hostellers. The students are demanding that girls be issued passes so that they could stay till late in the library.The NSUI chief patron fainted at around 10 pm and was taken to government multi speciality hospital in Sector 16. Her condition is said to be stable.
