Officer on special duty to Haryana CM tenders resignation

Principal officer on special duty to Haryana chief minister, Mahender Singh Chopra on Friday tendered his resignation. Chopra who enjoys close proximity to chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda will campaign for the ruling Congress in Lok Sabha polls.

Principal officer on special duty to Haryana chief minister, Mahender Singh Chopra on Friday tendered his resignation. Chopra who enjoys close proximity to chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda will campaign for the ruling Congress in Lok Sabha polls.

A re-employed officer after seeking voluntary retirement, Chopra submitted his resignation to principal secretary to CM, Sudeep Singh Dhillon.

Election Commission guidelines prohibit government officials from canvassing. Earlier, OSD to CM (Media), Dr KV Singh and CM's political advisor, Prof Virender too had resigned to enable them to canvass for the Congress.
