Poll violence: Student bodies clash at SD College in Chandigarh

Members of the Students Organsiation of India (SOI) and Sanatan Dharam College Union (SDCU) were involved in a clash at the Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College on Friday during which a student was hit with a glass bottle.

Rajat Suri, a senior leader of the SDCU said "The clash took place over SOI's false propaganda." During the tussle, SDCU's last year's chief patron Abhishek Sharma, was hit with a cold drink bottle on his head after which he was hospitalised. He received a couple of stitches and was discharged in the afternoon. "We will definitely get an FIR registered against the accused who attacked him," Suri said.
