Punjab announces seven-day mourning on Gujral's death

The Punjab government on Friday announced a seven-day state mourning in honour of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral.All schools, colleges and educational institutions would remain closed on Saturday as a mark of respect to the departed leader.

The Punjab government on Friday announced a seven-day state mourning in honour of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral.

All schools, colleges and educational institutions would remain closed on Saturday as a mark of respect to the departed leader. The national flag would fly at half-mast in all government buildings, a spokesman said here.
