Punjab, Haryana warmer, but fog prevails

Among other places, Patiala and Karnal recorded an identical low of 7.4°C, followed by 7.7°C in Ambala, and 8.1°C in Ludhiana, a degree above normal.

The minimum temperature in Chandigarh was 9.2°C, three degrees above normal. In Narnaul, the mercury settled at a low of 9.5°C, four degrees above normal.

Meanwhile, several places in the region, including Karnal, Amritsar and Ludhiana faced foggy weather and misty conditions in the morning.

The meteorological department has forecast rains or thundershowers at some places in the region in view of western disturbances.
