'Punjab revamps e-learning'

The Punjab government has established 2,077 Edusat computer labs under the NABARD project to enhance teaching and learning process in the state schools, especially in the remote areas.

The Punjab government has established 2,077 Edusat computer labs under the NABARD project to enhance teaching and learning process in the state schools, especially in the remote areas.

Besides, 914 more such Edusat labs would be established in the remaining schools with a budget of Rs 48.81 crore, a spokesman of the education department said here on Tuesday.

He said the rural students who were not able to a pay the hefty fee to the coaching centres were able to prepare themselves through satellite learning and such 2,411 students had been selected in engineering and medical colleges through the e-learning programme.
