Punjab speaker is LS panel member
Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan has nominated Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal as a member of the committee of presiding officers of the Lok Sabha, along with speakers of various other assemblies.

Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan has nominated Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal as a member of the committee of presiding officers of the Lok Sabha, along with speakers of various other assemblies.
Atwal has also been nominated as a regional representative from India on the executive committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, London, for 2014-16, a spokesman said here.
