Health and family welfare minister Madan Mohan Mittal said this on Monday while presiding over the meeting of the 72nd Regional Board of the Employees State Insurance Corporation.
He also gave the nod to set up a medical appellate tribunal at different places for ESI smart-card holders so that the patients who are not satisfied from the medical board have the option to appeal before the appellate tribunal.
Reorganisation of ESI dispensaries was also discussed at the meeting.
Discussing the issue of reimbursement of bills, the minister said these bills should be sent directly to the director, ESIC, Punjab, by the competent authorities. The minister also directed the director, ESIC, to send circulars in this regard.
