SAD leader arrested for attempted murder granted bail

A local court granted bail to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Jagtar Singh Bhaini, who was arrested for attempting to murder some people during a clash.

On July 1, a clash between two groups over a land left some persons injured. Following this, Bhaini, among others, was booked under sections 307 (attempt to muder), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) ,324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) ,148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon),149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the IPC.
