The committee, comprising Sukhdev Singh Bhor, general secretary, SGPC; Rajinder Singh Mehta, Karnail Singh Panjoli, Nirmal Singh Jaula Kalan, all executive members of SGPC, and Satbir Singh, secretary, Dharam Prachar Committee, has been asked to reach Patna immediately.

Terming the clash as regretful, SGPC president jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar said the religious gathering at the Patna Sahib Gurdwara was being telecast live with the masses watching it when the clash took place.

"The clash is definitely condemnable. It has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikhs," he said. The committee would submit its report after a thorough probe of the incident.
