Once he is done with his upcoming Eid release, Chennai Express (CE), Shah Rukh Khan might just have another exciting assignment on offer. He may play a Gujarati don in his next, to be helmed by Rahul Dholakia. Apparently, the superstar has given an “in-principle nod” to the director.

“In the film, Shah Rukh is supposed to play a large-hearted Gujarati don. Since the project is in the nascent stages, not many are aware of it. Dholakia has already met SRK a few times for narrations,” says an industry insider.

SRK will team up with his Don series makers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, for Dholakia’s venture.

“SRK trusts their judgment. Besides, the three of them are good friends. Since he has given his nod just a few days back, things will slowly kick off,” adds the insider.

However, Sidhwani says, “It’s too early to talk about it. We will make an announcement at the right time.”
