SPO injured in accidental firing in Doda

A Special Police Officer was injured in an accidental firing in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said today.

"The SPO identified as Rajesh Kumar received injuries when his AK-47 rifle accidentally went off while he was cleaning it on Friday evening at Gajot Operational Group Camp in Bhalla area," sources said.

They said the SPO was shifted to the hospital from where he was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.

"His condition is said to be stable," an official added.
