Strawberry Fields, St John’s-26 in under-14 semifinals

While Manan opened the scoring for Strawberry Fields in the fifth minute of the match. Jagjit made it 2-0 with a 15thminute strike.

Even as St Xavier’s School-44 reduced the margin through Modric’s 19th-minute goal, the 20th-minute strike by Manan, his second of the match, helped Strawberry Fields seal the deal in their favour.

In the second match, the under-14 team of hosts St John’s School blanked Ajit Karam Singh International Public School (AKSIPS), Sector 41, 2-0. For the winners, Dhaman scored the opening goal in the second minute of the match, while Shrom rounded off the tally with a strike in the 10th minute.

In the semifinals, St John’s-26 will take on Saupin’s School, Sector 32, while Strawberry Fields will face Delhi Public School for a berth in the final.

It will be an all-St John’s affair in the U-11 age group with both the school teams A and B locking horns on Wednesday.
