Three children drown in open pit in Jhajjar

Three boys drowned in an open pit in the low-lying areas of Ladpur village in Jhajjar district on Wednesday evening.

Deceased were identified as Sagar, 8, Tushar, 7, and Monu, 6.

According to sources, kids were enjoying rain showers when they went to agricultural fields of village, where they got drowned in a deep pit dug by a brick kiln contractor.

When they didn't return till late evening, the parents got worried and started looking for them, however only to learn that three of them had drowned in the fields.

Villagers rushed the kids to hospital, but doctors declared them brought dead, said police.
