Jaspal Singh, an MES driver, was killed when an unidentified vehicle hit his car while he was returning home after dropping one of his friends at Ramgarh.

Rohtash, 20, who was busy making last-minute arrangements for his cousin Mandeep's wedding scheduled for today, went out on his motorcycle to attend to some work when a vehicle hit him fatally. Rohtash's father, Sadhu Singh, is a farmer.

The inconsolable family members said they discarded all their plans and ran from pillar to post looking for Rohtash till Thursday morning. As if this was not enough, the family members also faced a harrowing time at the mortuary of General Hospital, Sector 6, where the body of Rohtash was not handed over to them till afternoon. The police said though it was a hit-and-run case, they were trying to trace the vehicle.
