Woman killed as truck hits scooter
A woman was killed on the spot when a truck hit the Activa scooter she was riding near Jaggi petrol pump here on the National Highway-1 on Thursday afternoon.

A woman was killed on the spot when a truck hit the Activa scooter she was riding near Jaggi petrol pump here on the National Highway-1 on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Narinder Kaur, a resident of Dhankaur village near here.
Local people said Narinder was employed as a teacher at a fashion designing institute and was going back to her.
The deceased is survived by her husband and a four-year-old child.
The police said the truck driver fled the spot with the vehicle after the accident, adding that a case had been registered.
The body had been sent to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination.
